RESIST TECHNIQUES

RUBBING TECHNIQUES

Variation 1:

Heat through the friction of rubbing melts the crayon and generates a smooth shiny effect.
Apply a tiny amount of vegetable oil to your cotton wool ball.
Gently rub the oil on the back of the image.
The oil is likely to make the image almost transparent.
Students may be because of the oil soaked balls in a very paint tray.
Encourage them to review and in the picture to spread the oil.
Hang the photo inside a classroom window to create a stained glass effect.
